Bournemouth Airport (BOH)
Travel and Ground Transport

(Bournemouth, Dorset, England, UK)

Buses and taxis run direct to Bournemouth from Bournemouth International Airport (BOC), but unfortunately there is no direct rail link to the city. The nearest station is at Christchurch, which lies in the opposite direction to Bournemouth and is accessible by bus and taxi.

Buses run direct from the airport to the town centre and rail / bus station and the A338 road provides almost direct access to Bournemouth from the airport.

Buses

The A1 '747' airport bus service runs from the airport to Bournemouth Square and Bournemouth Travel Interchange (the combined bus and rail station in the town centre) every two hours daily. The journey takes about 30 minutes and from here you can connect with buses and trains to nearby towns and farther afield.

Trains

There is no rail service to Bournemouth International Airport, but the A1 bus and taxis run to Christchurch Station and Travel Interchange in town, from where fast trains run to and from Southampton and London. Bournemouth Travel Interchange is also served by Connex South Central and Virgin Rail trains. For travel to the airport from the Travel Interchange, look out for the yellow A1 bus service, which travels between Bournemouth Square and Bournemouth International Airport.

Taxi Cabs

By far the fastest way into Bournemouth is to take a taxi. There are three main taxi cab firms that ply the route to town and farther afield including Air-n-port Cars, Corfe Mullen Cab Co and United Chritax Taxis.
